Hard boiled eggs can be used in a variety of dishes, as well as part of a hearty breakfast. My boiled egg challenge has always been the peeling! I have destroyed many an egg trying to remove the shell. Well after years of experimentation, our family found the perfect way to cook a hard boiled egg and get an easy peel.

Ingredients | Directions |
Water | 1 Place a saucepan with enough water to cover eggs, over high heat. |
2 Uncovered; bring to a quick boil. | |
2 eggs (room temperature) | 3 Using a slotted spoon, quickly add eggs to boiling water. Any cracks that appear will quickly seal from the cooked egg whites. |
4 Off heat and cover saucepan. Set a 12 minute timer. | |
bowl of room temperature water | 5 Remove eggs with a slotted spoon and place in a bowl of room temperature water. When eggs are cool to the touch, shell under running tap water. Eggs will peel easily. |
