I love jasmine rice but have struggled to prepare it without a mess up every now and then. I tried the rinse method, but picking up certain brands at the grocery store left me wanting a more consistent method. Finally, thru enough experimentation I was able to nail a no-rinse jasmine rice recipe.

Ingredients | Directions |
1 cup jasmine rice 1 1/4 cups filtered water | 1 In a saucepan over medium-high heat combine rice and water. |
2 Uncovered; bring to a quick rapid simmer. | |
3 Reduce heat to low and cover with a tight lid. Cook for 10mins (timing is ever important here). | |
4 Remove saucepan from heat and let rest for another 12 to 15 mins. | |
Serving Suggestion: Sprinkle with fresh thyme or cilantro. | 5 You can pass a fork thru the cooked rice to loosen before serving or use a measuring cup and flip onto plate for that restaurant-type plating. |
